His company Rimac cars last year raised the income from 10.5 to 31.3 million kuna, the number of employees increased from 33 to 80 employees, and net profit reached 1.7 million kuna. We can safely say that Mate Rimac is the star of Croatian business, and american Bloomberg included him in the person of the year, while his company is on the 9th place of most attractive employers.
The public had met him already in the high school with his first patented invention iGlove, winning the Golden Tesla’s egg in 2006. The company was founded in 2009. with the intention to produce the most prosperous electric cars in the world.
His electronic car Concept One was presented at the fair in Frankfurt and in 2013. the first copy was delivered, that was also the first car which Croatia produced and exported.
The company Rimac cars with their own cars develops also prototypes for other car companies, produces batteries for wheelchairs, electric bicycles, and is currently in the phase of construction of the largest battery ever for the ferry that will sail in the northern Europe. We can`t forget to mention his electric bikes Greyp that police in South Africa use.
Due to new investments in the company, there is a possibility that the company headquarters transfer abroad while production and development will stay in Croatia.[:hr]Malo je onih koji nisu čuli za Matu Rimca, mladog poduzetnika koji je svoju strast prema automobila pretvorio u biznis svjetskih razmjera. Ove godine zasluženo ulazi u konkurenciju za gospodarstvenika godine, kojeg će čitatelji izabrati Večernjeg lista i Poslovnog dnevnika.
Njegova tvrtka Rimac automobili prošle je godine podigla prihod sa 10,5 na 31,3 milijuna kuna, broj zaposlenih povećan je s 33 na 80 djelatnika, a neto dobit dosegla je 1,7 milijuna kuna. Slobodno možemo reći da je Mate Rimac zvijezda hrvatskog biznisa, kojeg je američki Bloomberg uvrstio u osobe godine, dok je njegova tvrtka na 9. mjestu najatraktivnijih poslodavaca.
Javnost ga je upoznala još kao srednjoškolca sa svojim prvim patentiranim izumom iGlove osvojivši 2006. Zlatno Teslino jaje. Tvrtku je osnovao 2009. s namjerom da proizvodi najnaprednije električne automobile na svijetu.
Njegov elektronski automobil Concept_One predstavljen je na sajmu u Frankfurtu a 2013. isporučen je prvi primjerak, što je ujedno bio prvi automobil kojeg je Hrvatska proizvela i izvezla.
Tvrtka Rimac automobili uz vlastite automobile razvija i prototipove za druge automobilske tvrtke, proizvodi baterije za invalidska kolica, električne bicikle, a trenutno je u fazi izgradnja najveće baterije ikad za trajekt koji će ploviti na sjeveru Europe.
