[:en]The Croatian Interior Ministry announced on Saturday, May 13, instructions how to protect against global cyber attacks. Intensively is monitored the development of a new kind of computer threat that spread around the world on May 12.

The most important advice is to update the operating system, and citizens can contact the National Center via Carnet, which has its own website. The president of the National Cyber Security Council, Aleksandar Klaić, pointed out that similar attacks took place in Croatia but in small proportions. The Council  includes representatives of 16 different institutions, which will seek to coordinate a faster response to threats. This is actually about spreading a “worm” that uses Windows operating vulnerabilities, which means that is potentially affected each computer or computer system that has not been updated.
