[:en]Data from Eurostat best indicates how much Croatia supports its innovators, who regularly bring medals to their country. According to the data, only 0.79 percent of Croatia’s GDP is reserved for development and research, which places the country on a par with Romania and Bulgaria. However, the government has recently suggested that things will drastically change with the preparation of the Smart Specialisation Strategy.
