[:en]This year as well, Croatian students will participate in the “Formula Student” competition, in which, unlike in the traditional competitions, the competitors are not ranked base on speed, but based on the technical characteristics of their vehicles. There are currently fifty members in the team, from seven different faculties – the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Faculty of Political Science, the School of Design at the Faculty of Architecture etc. Each of them contributes to the project; for example, the students of mechanical engineering construct the racing cars, the students of electrical engineering and computing construct their electronics, the students of journalism work on marketing… The competition will be held in August, this year in Germany and Hungary. The strongest competition comes from developed countries such as Austria, Germany and Great Britain, since there are a lot of big sponsors there, but our competitors make up for the lack of funds through innovativeness. They emphasize thinking outside the box as their main advantage. They also emphasize that their innovativeness has brought them extra points and acknowledgements at every competition. The goal of this competition is not just enjoyment, but also the acquisition of significant practical experience, which is lacking at our faculties and which helps the students in their future employment.[:hr]I ove godine će hrvatski studenti sudjelovati na natjecanju u „Formula student“, ali to nije klasično natjecanje na kojemu se ocjenjuje brzina, već natjecanje na kojemu se ocjenjuje tehnička strana vozila.U timu se trenutno nalazi pedeset članova, sa sedam različitih fakulteta, sa FSB-a, Fakulteta elektrotehnike i računarstva, Ekonomskog fakulteta, Fakulteta političkih znanosti, Studija dizajna na arhitekturi itd. Svaki od njih daje obol projektu, na primjer, studenti strojarstva rade na konstrukciji bolida, studenti elektrotehnike i računarstva na elektronici bolida, studenti novinarstva na marketingu… Natjecanje će se održati u kolovozu, ove godine u Njemačkoj i Mađarskoj. Najjača konkurencija dolazi iz razvijenih zemalja poput Austrije, Njemačke i Velike Britanije, pošto ondje ima mnogo velikih sponzora, no naši natjecatelji manjak sredstva nadoknađuju inovativnošću. Ističu kako je njihova prednost to što gledaju izvan granica. Također, naglašavaju kako im je njihova inovativnost na svakom natjecanju donosila dodatne bodove i pohvale. Cilj ovoga natjecanja nije samo zadovoljstvo već i veliko praktično iskustvo kojega nedostaje na našim fakultetima i koje im pomaže pri budućem zaposlenju.[:de]Auch dieses Jahr werden kroatische Studenten im Wettbewerb “Formula Student” teilnehmen. Das ist aber nicht ein klassischer Wettbewerb, wo die Geschwindigkeit bewertet wird, sondern ein Wettbewerb, wo der technische Aspekt der Fahrzeuge bewertet wird. Das Team schließt derzeit fünfzig Mitglieder ein, von sieben verschiedenen Fakultäten, von der Fakultät für Maschinenbau und Schiffsbau, Fakultät für Elektrotechnik und Informatik, Fakultät für Ökonomik, Fakultät der politischen Wissenschaften, Studium des Designs an der Fakultät der Architektur usw. Jeder von ihnen trägt dem Projekt bei, z.B. die Studenten des Maschinenbaus arbeiten auf der Konstruktion des Boliden, die Studenten der Elektrotechnik und Informatik auf der Elektronik des Boliden, die Studenten des Journalismus auf das Marketing usw. Der Wettbewerb wird im August dieses Jahres in Deutschland und Ungarn stattfinden. Die stärkste Konkurrenz kommt aus den entwickelten Ländern wie Österreich, Deutschland und Großbritannien, da es dort viele große Sponsoren gibt, aber unsere Wettbewerber gleichen den Mangel an Geldmitteln durch ihre Originalität aus. Als ihren Vorteil heben sie hervor, dass sie über den Tellerrand schauen. Sie betonen auch, dass ihre Originalität ihnen immer zusätzliche Punkte und Komplimente gebracht hat. Das Ziel dieses Wettbewerbs ist nicht bloß dieses Wohlgefühl, sonder auch eine große praktische Erfahrung, die auf unseren Fakultäten fehlt, und die ihnen hilft, ihren zukünftigen Job zu finden.[:]
