Scientists from the University in California, Stockholm and Uppsala created a prototype of microscope that could analyze the tissue samples on the spot. Microscope is based on smartphone that could be sold for 500 dollars and could be used in the treatment of cancer, tuberculosis and other diseases. It can use information transmitted by our DNK to diagnose the disease. In cancer can be seen a certain mutation in tumors and in infectious diseases can in the quickest way detect whether the infection is viral or bacterial. The tissue sample is placed in a container with a special lens that is connected to the phone camera. Two laser diodes and LED lights illuminate the sample which is analyzed. In development of the microscope was used Nokia Lumia 1020, but the device can be customized to more recent phones.
