[:en]SMART WALKING STICK FOR THE BLIND WITH A GPRS SYSTEM
The Elektroboj student competition with the theme “Help People with Disabilities” featured inventive prototypes for facilitating the daily activities of people with disabilities. One of the ten ideas that have been presented by the students is a smart walking stick for facilitating the movement of the blind and visually impaired. This is an idea of Mateo Sokač, a student of IT at the Rochester Institute of Technology Croatia, Ivan Jureša, a computer science student at the Faculty of Engineering and Ivan Brlas.
The smart walking stick incorporates a GPRS system for reporting the location if the person is lost and a sensor that can detect whether a person has lost the stick and inform them of its location. The stick can enhance a blind person’s feeling for the space and objects around him. The guys have plans to register in one of the business incubators where, under the guidance of a mentor, their prototype could become a product. Since they did not think that their invention would arouse public interest and that it has not been tested on real users, its creators decided to improve it and, by doing so, improve the quality of life of its users.
GUITARFRIEND AS THE OTHER HAND IN PLAYING GUITAR
The winners of the Elektroboj competition are the students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing Milenko Šaponja, Antun Sukurić and Ivan Bebić, who designed an electronic device that makes it easier for people with disabilities to learn to play or play the guitar. They called it GuitarFriend. It can be used by any music enthusiast who wants to independently learn to play the guitar, since the device is attached to the resonating box and so replaces one hand. Antun and Milenko were responsible for the development and technical implementation of the product, while Ivan was responsible for market analysis and the business plan. Although the product is still in the development stage, it has no direct competition. After the presentation on the Elektroboj, renowned Croatian companies showed their interest in the GuitarFriend, which encouraged their inventors to apply for the program of Student Entrepreneurship at the Career Centre of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (SPOCK). By entering a ten-month program as one of four teams, they will connect their startup with experts and mentors and be provided the space and equipment for the further development of their ideas.[:hr]PAMETNI ŠTAP ZA SLIJEPE SA GPRS SUSTAVOM
Na studentskom natjecanju Elektroboj na temu „Pomozi osobama s tjelesnim poteškoćama“ predstavljeni su radovi koji će osobama s invaliditetom olakšati svakodnevne aktivnosti. Jedna od desetak ideja koje su studenti predstavili je i pametni štap koji će slijepim i slabovidnim osobama olakšati kretanje. Na ideju za njega došli su Mateo Sokač, student IT-a na Rochester Institute of Technology Croatia, Ivan Jureša, student računarstva na Tehničkom fakultetu u Rijeci i Ivan Brlas.
Pametni štap ima ugrađeni GPRS sustav za dojavu lokacije ako se osoba izgubi te senzor koji može prepoznati je li osoba izgubila štap i sam dojaviti lokaciju. Štap može slijepoj osobi više približiti osjećaj za prostor i objekte oko sebe. Dečki imaju u planu prijavu u jedan od poduzetničkih inkubatora kako bi uz vodstvo mentora njihov prototip mogao postati proizvod. S obzirom na to da se nisu nadali da će njihov izum pobuditi interes javnosti te da isti nije testiran na pravim korisnicima, njegovi kreatori su nakon natjecanja odlučili poboljšati proizvod a time i kvalitetu života njegovimkorisnicima.
GUITARFRIEND KAO DRUGA RUKA ZA SVIRANJE GITARE
Pobjednici Elektroboja su studenti s Fakulteta elektronike i računarstva Milenko Šaponja, Antun Sukurić i Ivan Bebić, koji su osmislili elektronički uređaj koji osobama s invaliditetom olakšava učenje, ali i sviranje gitare. Nazvali su ga GuitarFriend. Može ga koristiti i svaki glazbeni entuzijast koji želi samostalno naučiti svirati gitaru, s obzirom na to da se uređaj pričvrsti na rezonantnu kutiju i tako zamjenjuje jednu ruku. Antun i Milenko bili su zaduženi za razvoj i tehničku realizaciju proizvoda a Ivan za analizu tržišta i poslovni plan. Iako je proizvod još u razvojnoj fazi, trenutno nema izravnu konkurenciju. Nakon prezentacije na Elektroboju, GuitarFriend je zainteresirao predstavnike renomiranih hrvatskih tvrtki, što je dečke potaknulo da se prijave u Program studentskog poduzetništva u centru karijera FER-a (SPOCK). Ušavši u desetomjesečni program kao jedan od četiri tima, svoj će startup povezati sa stručnjacima i mentorima te će im biti osiguran prostor i oprema za daljnje razvijanje ideje.

Bei dem studentischen Wettbewerb “Elektroboj” zum Thema “Hilf der Person mit körperlichen Schwierigkeiten” wurden Arbeiten präsentiert, die den behinderten Personen die alltäglichen Aufgaben erleichtern. Eine von etwa zehn Ideen, welche die Studenten präsentiert haben, ist der intelligente Stock, der die Bewegung von blinden und schwachsichtigen Personen erleichtern wird. Auf diese Idee kamen Mateo Sokač, Student der Informationstechnologie bei der Rochester Institute of Technology Croatia, Ivan Jureša, Student der Informatik bei der Technischen Fakultät in Rijeka und Ivan Brlas.
Der intelligente Stock hat das eingebaute GPRS-System für die Meldung der Position, wenn sich die Person verirrt, und den Sensor, der fühlen kann, ob die Person den Stock verloren hat, und selber die Position melden kann. Der Stock kann blinden Personen das Gefühl für den Raum und die Objekte um sie herum näher bringen. Die Jungen beabsichtigen, sich bei einem der unternehmerischen Inkubatoren anzumelden, damit ihr Prototyp unter der Führung eines Mentors zum Produkt werden könnte. Da sie nicht hofften, dass ihre Erfindung die Interesse der Öffentlichkeit wecken würde, und da sie nicht an den tatsächlichen Benutzern getestet wurde, haben ihre Entwerfer nach dem Wettbewerb beschlossen, das Produkt, und damit auch die Lebensqualität seiner Benutzer, zu verbessern.
GUITARFRIEND ALS DIE ANDERE HAND BEIM GITARRESPIELEN
Gewinner des Wettbewerbs “Elektroboj” sind die Studenten der Fakultät für Elektronik und Informatik, Milenko Šaponja, Antun Sukurić und Ivan Bebić, die das elektronische Gerät gestalten haben, das den behinderten Personen das Lernen, aber auch das Spielen der Gitarre erleichtert. Sie haben es GuitarFriend genannt. Es kann von jedem Musikliebhaber benutzt werden, der selbständig das Gitarrespielen lernen möchte, da das Gerät auf den Resonanzkörper befestigt wird und so eine Hand ersetzt. Antun und Milenko wurden mit der Entwicklung und der technischen Realisation des Produktes und Ivan mit der Marktanalyse und dem Geschäftsplan beauftragt. Obwohl sich das Produkt noch in der Entwicklungsphase befindet, im Moment hat es keine direkte Konkurrenz. Nach der Präsentation bei dem “Elektroboj”, hat das GuitarFriend das Interesse der Vertreter renommierter kroatischer Unternehmen geweckt, was die Jungen veranlasst hat, sich zum Programm des studentischen Unternehmertums im Zentrum der Karriere der Fakultät für Elektronik und Informatik (SPOCK) anzumelden. Sie beginnen das zehnmonatliche Programm als eines von vier Teams. Sie werden ihren Startup mit Fachleuten und Mentoren verbinden und ihnen werden der Raum und die Ausrüstung für die weitere Entwicklung ihrer Idee gesichert.[:]
