The reason for this visit is the overhaul or modernization of the flagship 6th fleet “USS Mount Whitney” that will shipyard from Kostrena bring about 30 million dollars of income. This is the fourth time that the Americans have entrusted complex interventions of the 6th fleet to Viktor Lenac, whose total value of the deal is 75 million euros. Hereby, the US Navy has become a strategic client of this shipyard.<\/p>\n
The visit was also an opportunity for the presentation of modern robot technology “Ultra High Pressure Water Jet”, which replaces the traditional process of sandblasting. Purchase of new equipment will cost a few million kuna, and brings benefits and time savings of sandblasting, not only for workers but also for the residents of Kostrena. The new technology includes 24 Hours of robotic work that produces less noise, and can clean 50 m2 in one hour.<\/p>\n

Posjet je bio i prilika za predstavljanje suvremene robotske tehnologije \u201eUltra High Pressure Water Jet\u201c koja zamjenjuje tradicionalni postupak pjeskarenja. Nabavka nove opreme ko\u0161tat \u0107e nekoliko milijuna kuna, a donosi koristi i u\u0161tedu vremena pjeskarenja ne samo za radnike ve\u0107 i za stanovnike Kostrene.
