Goran Lauc, president and founder of the Management Board of Croatian biotechnology company Genos believes that the position of Croatian on the scale is realistic and that the situation with innovations is very bad. The reason for this is ignorance and lack of state support for research and development sector. On the other hand, Croatia is fully deserved on the list because in our country operates many innovative people and companies. Na\u017ealost, danas u Hrvatskoj nije potpisan nijedan ugovor za R&D projekte jer su kasno objavili natje\u010daje, dokumentacija je ili lo\u0161a ili pretjerana a evaluacije dugo traju.
