Ako bi TGO prona\u0161ao tragove metana u Marsovoj atmosferi, to bi mogao biti pokazatelj kako na Marsu postoji nekakav oblik \u017eivota. Naime, jedan od mogu\u0107ih izvora metana, osim vulkana, je trbuh \u017eivotinja (gdje \u017eive jednostani\u010dni mikrobi metanogeni koji pretvaraju uglji\u010dni dioksid u metan).<\/p>\n
