[:en]Believe it or not, a team of students from the University of California are competing to become the first brewers on the moon and send their experiment on aircraft of the Indian company. For the place on the aircraft competed 3000 teams and this is one of them 25 who will fly to the moon 28th December 2017.
The team has combined his hobby with the competition and primarily investigate the resistance of yeast in the universe which is important for the production of medicines and foods containing yeast. Not fermented beer will first be prepared on Earth and then sent to the moon. Although the carbonation and fermentation are separate processes, team plan to connect them both to reduce the number of variables in the creation of CO2 and make the process safer.
All finalists will introduce their final prototypes in March in India.
[:hr]Vjerovali ili ne, tim studenata sa Sveučilišta u Kaliforniji natječe se kako bi postali prvi pivari na Mjesecu i poslali svoj eksperiment na letjelici indijske kompanije. Za mjesto na letjelici borilo se 3000 timova a ovo je jedan od njih 25 koji će poletjeti na Mjesec 28. prosinca 2017. godine.
Tim je spojio svoj hobi s natjecanjem i prije svega istražio otpornost kvasca u svemiru što je važno i za proizvodnju lijekova i hrane koja sadrži kvasac. Nefermentirano pivo prvo će se pripremiti na Zemlji a potom poslati na Mjesec. Iako su karbonizacija i fermentacija odvojeni procesi, tim ih planira spojiti želeći tako smanjiti broj varijabli pri kreiranju CO2 i učiniti proces sigurnijim.
Svi finalisti će u ožujku u Indiji predstaviti svoje konačne prototipove.
