At the program of transnational cooperation INTERREG Central Europe, the town of Šibenik has been successfully applied project “Rosie”. The aim of this project is through international cooperation improve skills and competencies of entrepreneurs and innovators. The project will strive to alleviate inequalities and improve technical and management competencies of employees in the private and public sector. Implementation of the project will last 36 months and for implementation of activities the town of Sibenik will be awarded by funds of 110,000 euros.
Small and medium enterprises, that dominate in Central Europe, are faced with a lack of qualified workforce in relation to the demands posed by technological advancement and economic innovation. At the labor force market also influence demographic changes and negative demographic growth as well as the “brain drain”.
