115 Croatian schools have signed up for education on Safer Internet Day, which exceeded the number of participants from the last year when participated 104 schools and 6000 students. Educations promote responsible and safe use of mobile and online technologies among children and youth.

After preparatory lectures “Skype for business” for teachers will be held lectures with the same subject also for students, and then in each of the schools will be held a workshop on this subject.

Except lectures, students are invited to participate in the quiz with the theme of security on the Internet and the best will win attractive prizes.

90 percent of primary school children has, according to a survey of the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Facebook profile while 55 percent connects on Internet through mobile phones. Taking into consideration this data, the Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Microsoft Croatia recently have launched a project Web detectives that aims to teach children how to recognize inappropriate content and behavior on the Internet and also apply to the right place.
