This year’s Grand Prix of the International exhibition of innovations ARCA 2016. went to Čakovec. Workshop of railway vehicles won the most important award for its self-propelled wagon for bulk cargo, on which five engineers worked for three years and in which is invested even 900,000 euros (half of the program Eco-Innovation European Union). This is a unique wagon in the world that can move independently without the help of a locomotive. Due to the hydraulic system and adjustable doors, allows scattering of material in a controlled and safe conditions and uses three times less resources than regular wagons. The award handed the youngest participant of the exhibition, the winner of the gold medal for his Weather station in the category of young innovators, 14-year-old Jan Murić from Bjelovar. During this official presentation, company director Dražen Vidović said that will continue with the development of innovative projects and that they are already working on the next innovation that will be premiere shown at one of the upcoming ARCA.

ARCA 2016. took place at the National and University Library in Zagreb, where in three days exhibitions presented over 180 innovations from eight countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, China, Iran, Poland and Romania).
