Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, since 1995. provides non-refundable funds through a public tender and awards the best innovators for their work and contribution to the innovator community. To date, the county in the selected 176 innovations invested three million kuna. This year, 25 applications were received of which 11 applications belongs to young innovators and county will set aside 200,000 kuna of the budget. The authors of the first three best innovations got 26 000 kuna, the other three 17 000 kuna and third 9 000 kuna.
County Prefect of Primorsko goranska county, Zlatko Komadina received the most successful innovators funded by the county. The authors of awarded innovations are: Dino Lenaz, Hrvoje Kamenar, Saša Muschet, Dragan Šepić, Romana Poropat, Stipan Orčić, Romina Jardas, Loredana Vodarić i Slavko Vuruna. In this way they want to give public recognition to innovators and other citizens encouraged to use their creativity.
